SLEDD

Slow Low Efficient Daily Dialysis (SLEDD) is provided to patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) or patients with Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) who are hemodynamically unstable and require dialysis to remove excess fluid and toxins. It is performed using hemodialysis equipment which is designed for slower and longer treatments yet is very similar to conventional hemodialysis. The SMG nurse will prepare the equipment and manage the patient throughout the treatment.
